On the last Friday of the month we generally see more hungry people than at any other time of the month. This Friday held true to that trend.
There was a long line at the window of the food truck as soon as Jerred prayed to bless the food. After twenty minutes or so everyone had made it through the line.
In the picture above, you can see Steve playing praise and worship music as people are eating and listening in the background.
Throughout the night, there was a constant stream of hungry people coming to the window of the food truck for a bowl of food. I heard one man ask a team member “Are you guys serving food?”
“Yes”, replied the team member.
“How much is it?” the man asked.
“Free”, came the answer.
A look of relief washed across the man’s face as he said, “good.”

Jerred preached from John 15. He emphasized to the people the importance of abiding in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, not just running to Him when there is trouble. After the message was over people were expressing the way that their understanding of the things of God has opened up, like a light was turned on. Glory!
Before nine o’clock all of the food was gone and we had given away: t-shirts, pants, socks, shoes, underwear, jackets, hats, belts, and blankets. We packed up the truck to come home knowing that we had been a blessing to people.
